Timeline
The timeline for ITSP2 is purposeful and ambitious.
April 2008
The planning launches, with kick-off meetings of the UITC and task forces.
May 2008
Planning continues through UITC and task force meetings.
A special event commemorating the 10th anniversary of IU’s 1998 Information Technology Strategic Plan is scheduled for May 20, 2008. All members of the UITC and taskforces are invited, as well as all UITS staff, members of the extended IT team on all IU campuses, and other special guests.
June 2008
Draft reports of the task forces and the UITC’s recommendations will be submitted to VP Wheeler by the end of June 2008.
July – August 2008
The plan will continue to develop with input from UITS leaders and staff through the summer months.
September 2008
IU’s Statewide IT Conference, September 11-12, 2008, Indiana University Memorial Union, IUB, will provide a preview of the recommendations of the draft plan for the Indiana University community.
October 2008
The complete draft will be submitted to President McRobbie and disseminated for review across Indiana University. The draft will be subject to revisions from the President’s review, as well as review by schools, units, and campuses.
October – November 2008
Fall forums scheduled in schools, units, and campuses through October and November will provide opportunities for groups to discuss the draft and provide feedback.
December 2008
The final planning document will be submitted to President McRobbie in early December 2008.
UITS will develop and disseminate implementation plans through spring 2009.
