Vince Sheehan
Chief Information Officer and Associate Dean for Information Technology, School of Medicine

Vince Sheehan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IU School of Medicine's information services. In this role, he shapes and implements institutional strategies for the procurement and deployment of information and communication technologies and energizes the School's long range planning to ensure appropriate technologies are deployed to meet the teaching, research, and service needs of the health sciences community. Sheehan represents the School in technology negotiations with the university, the School's five hospital partners, two medical groups, and the Regenstrief Institute. He has extensive IT leadership experience in hospitals, banking, and city government. Sheehan serves the IU School of Medicine as a member of the School's Executive Committee and serves on the cabinet of IU's Vice President for Information Technology. He has participated as a Fellow in the Frye Leadership Institute and the University of Michigan School of Business Information Management Executive Series.

Previously, Sheehan served as Director for University Information Systems in University Information Technology Services where his team developed the original Oncourse learning management system and implemented and supported the university's Library Information System.
