Pat C. Ames, Ph.D.
Vice Chancellor for Information Technologies Indiana University South Bend

Pat Ames provides operational, strategic, and fiscal management and planning for campus information technologies at IU South Bend. As Vice Chancellor, she has reorganized South Bend’s Information Technologies into functional units to provide a higher level of service in response to campus needs. She has also facilitated the development of an IT disaster recovery plan. Ames takes a hands-on approach to technical planning, working with facilities management and the IU Architect’s Office to integrate information technologies into classrooms, instructional centers, student housing and renovations of campus buildings.Thanksto her efforts, South Bend’s wireless network now provides nearly 100% coverage in areas where students congregate. Ames has an MBA in Technology Management from California State University, Fullerton, and an MS as well as a PhD in Management of Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University.
