Debby Allmayer
Human Resources Officer

Debby Allmayer leads the Human Resources Office in University Information Technology Services (UITS), which develops strategies, programs, and services to ensure the availability of highly motivated, well-trained, and results-oriented technology support professionals. In addition to her role in the 1997 consolidation of the IUB and IUPUI organizations that now comprise UITS, her efforts extend to IT professionals in units in other departments and on other campuses identifying and facilitating professional development and career mobility opportunities. Prior to joining the IT organization, she held positions in benefits, employment, and classification/compensation in the Bloomington campus Human Resources office. She has defined and promoted creative approaches including climate surveys, telework options, leadership competency development and wellness initiatives to enhance communication, retention, succession planning and community building objectives. Allmayer has also served on the University's Commission on Health Care, Campus Recreational Sports Advisory Board, and the boards of several county social services organizations. Allmayer earned a Bachelor's degree at Indiana University. She also received the Certificate in Public Management from the IU School of Public & Environmental Affairs where she has pursued a Master's degree.
