Anastasia S. Morrone, Ph.D.
Associate Dean, Learning Technologies

As Associate Dean, Anastasia Morrone provides leadership in several important university-wide initiatives that are designed to create a rich learning environment that will help promote the transformation of teaching and learning through the innovative use of technology. She is also an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the core campus Indiana University School of Education, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in adolescent development, psychology of teaching, and research methods.

Previously Morrone served IU as Executive Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Her research interests center around instructional practices that promote college student motivation and learning. Her teaching awards include the Trustees Teaching Award at IUPUI and the Indiana University Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching (FACET). Her professional affiliations include the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network in Higher Education, the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and the AERA Motivation in Education Special Interest Group (SIG). Morrone has a Ph.D. degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota.
